According to the latest media reports, Mahindra XUV400 EV will get a new trim hierarchy just like the recently launched XUV 3XO. The upcoming XUV400 will have 8 variants in total, offering three battery packs. Let’s dig more!
Currently, Mahindra XUV400 is available with two variants; EC Pro and EL Pro. For the facelift version, Mahindra is expected to boost the variant range with new names. The EV will be offered in eight variants which are as follows:
Mahindra XUV400 EC L
Mahindra XUV400 EC L (O)
Mahindra XUV400 EC LL
Mahindra XUV400 EC LL (O)
Mahindra XUV400 EC LH
Mahindra XUV400 EC LH (O)
Mahindra XUV400 EC PH
Mahindra XUV400 EC PH (O)
Although we are not sure about the trim hierarchy, we expect the EC L to be the base variant, and EC PH (O) to be the top-spec model of the upcoming XUV400 EV.
In terms of design and features, the updated XUV400 is likely to provide large LED DRLs, rear-connected LED tail-lights, 17-inch wheels, panoramic sunroof, Level-2 ADAS, and others.
Mahindra is expected to provide three battery packs for the XUV400 EV. A 39.4kWh unit can offer a range of 456 km while the 34.43 kWh battery pack can deliver 402 km of range. Apart from this, a 39.4 kWh battery will be offered with different cells which can offer an impressive range of 444 km.
The homegrown automaker is likely to launch the updated XUV400 EV sometime in 2024. The current model is priced in the range of Rs 15.49 lakh to Rs 17.49 lakh (ex-showroom). For the facelift model, Mahindra could hike the price as it will have more variants and features than the current model.
