Mahindra has launched the XUV700 Ebony editions for its model year updates. The new edition features some primary visual differences over the standard model. It is based on the AX7 and AX7 L variants and is offered at a premium of up to Rs 15,000. Both the variants in the standard model are available alongside the new edition. So, let's have a deeper look at the difference between the Ebony edition and the regular model to know what is the best choice for you.
The Ebony Edition XUV 700 has a similar look to the standard version but with a touch of Stealth Black exterior paint. Apart from that the new edition features additional black elements on the front grille for a bold look.
The car comes with an 'Ebony’ badge on the front fenders and tailgate that differentiates it from the standard model.
The inside of the XUV700 in the new edition comes with an all-black-themed cabin different from the standard model. The Ebony edition features black leatherette seat upholstery with all-black dashboard.
Also, it gets the Piano black elements on the center console and a light grey-finished roof liner that elevates its dark theme with a subtle contrast.
Unlike the regular model, the XUV700 Ebony is available only in front-wheel-drive form and in a 7-seat configuration. The automaker offers this edition on the top variants AX7 and AX7 L variants with the same engine options of 2.0-litre turbo-petrol that delivers 202 bhp and 2.2-litre diesel producing 187 bhp with 6-speed manual and automatic gearbox options.
As for the price difference between the standard and Ebony editions, the standard AX7 and AX7 L variants are priced between Rs 19.49 lakh and Rs 23.99 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Ebony Edition is priced from Rs 19.64 lakh and goes up to Rs 24.14 lakh (ex-showroom).
