McLaren, the British supercar company, has launched its most powerful car, the 750S, in India. Priced at Rs. 5.91 crores (ex-showroom), the 750S is the replacement of the McLaren 720S as it is available in both coupe and convertible versions.
In comparison to the 720S, the 750S features a redesigned front bumper, sleek LED headlamps with DRLs and a large splitter with air dams. Its side profile remains the same with the addition of new wheel arch vents. Towards the rear, it gets an extended deck and an active wing.
On the inside, the layout gets an update in the form of carbon-fibre treatment and seat upholstery made up of Nappa leather. In terms of features, it gets an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster, a premium Bowers and Wilkins audio sound system, wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, wireless charging, and a 360-degree camera.
Powering the McLaren 750S is a 4.0-litre, twin-turbo, V8 petrol engine. This engine is capable of generating an impressive power of 740 bhp and 800 Nm of peak torque, paired to a 7-speed automatic gearbox.
For better performance, it gets a revised chassis that offers a 6mm wider front track alongside a faster steering rack. The vehicle also comes equipped with a suspension lift function that can be utilized via a button available on the dashboard.
Further, according to the company, the supercar can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 2.8 seconds and has a top speed of 331 kmph, making it McLaren's most powerful production performance car. This has been possible due to the weight reduction of 30 kgs as compared to the 720S. This highlights that the brand is focused on both power and efficiency.
