Kia Motors India has launched the Sonet Facelift in the country with an introductory price of Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings for the New Sonet are currently open at a token amount of Rs 25,000. Customers can place orders through the official website of Kia or at any of their authorized dealerships across India.
The latest version of the 2024 Kia Sonet features a revised front fascia that provides a new grille, newly designed LED headlamps and an updated bumper. Its side profile remains the same with the addition of 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. Towards the rear, it gets an upgraded tailgate offering new taillights and a reworked bumper.
Moving on to the interior, the subcompact SUV brings on offer a new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment screen featuring wireless mobile connectivity and a digital instrument cluster borrowed from the Kia Seltos Facelift. Other equipment onboard include ventilated front seats, surround view monitor, a redesigned aircon panel, and more.
As for safety, it now provides 25 safety features and ADAS Tech. Talking specifically about ADAS, there are functions like Leading Vehicle Departure Alert (LVDA), Lane Departure Warning, High Beam Assist, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Keeping Assist, and Front Collision-Avoidance Assist, among others.
The facelifted Sonet continues to carry the same set of powertrain options as the outgoing model. It is powered by a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol, a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol unit, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. Transmission duties are handled by a 5-speed manual, 6-speed automatic, 6-speed iMT, and a 7-speed DCT gearbox.
The SUV is offered in seven variants namely HTK, HTK+, HTX, HTX+, GTX, GTX+, and X Line. The starting price of the base variant stands at Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom), making a difference of Rs 20,000 compared to the older trim.
While the top-spec variant is priced at Rs 15.69 lakh (ex-showroom), up from Rs 14.98 lakh (ex-showroom), marking a difference of about Rs 71,000.
