After the successful launch of a new EQA and EQB facelift, Mercedes-Benz India is gearing up to launch an all-electric G-Wagon. Ahead of the launch in 2025, the brand has started accepting pre-bookings for the all-electric G-Class, also known as the G 580 EQ Technology.
Visually, the G 580 EV will resemble its combustion counterpart. However, its closed-off front panel and the optional EQ-style grille with illuminated accents will make it look different from the ICE model. It will also get a new design for the alloy wheel.
Inside the G 580, we will get to see dual 12.3-inch screens and the advanced voice assistant system. Some of the optional features will include a premium Burmester 3D sound system and rear-seat entertainment package with twin 11.6-inch touchscreens.
Beneath the hood, the electric G Wagon will be offered with a 116 kWh battery pack, offering the WLTP-claimed range of over 473 km. It will have four electric motors, one for each wheel. It will offer a combined power output of 584 bhp and 1164 Nm of torque.
