Hero Motocorp unveils the Vida E4W, a compact electric car designed for city living. The Vida Nex 3 concept brings futuristic design and modular interior features. Compact electric cars like the Vida E4W offer a practical solution for urban commutes.
Hero Motocorp has just unveiled three new Vida concepts, one of which is a compact electric car designed to address the growing challenges of urban mobility. The two-seater electric vehicle, known as the E4W, is built to navigate the crowded streets of cities, offering a practical and space-efficient solution for daily commutes in densely populated areas.

Among the concepts, the Vida Nex 3 stands out as a futuristic take on urban transport. Although still a concept, it features a modular centre console that can be customised into different shapes - rectangular or circular, providing flexibility and a touch of innovation to the car’s interior design.

As cities like Mumbai become more congested, the need for smaller, more efficient vehicles is becoming increasingly important. While two-wheelers are a common solution, they don’t always work for everyone, especially during the hot summer months. On the other hand, larger SUVs, which are popular in the market, only add to the traffic woes. This is where compact electric cars could step in, offering a better, more sustainable alternative for short-distance commutes.
Ola Electric made its mark with a patent for a compact 4680 cell-based electric car, and now Hero Motocorp is stepping into the spotlight with its Vida concept. If these prototypes make it to production, they could create a new niche in the market, sparking a shift toward micro-mobility and inspiring other two-wheeler brands to explore this space as well.
If these compact electric vehicles make it to the market, they could reshape the way we think about urban transportation. With their focus on practicality, sustainability, and ease of use, they could provide a much-needed solution for navigating crowded city streets and make commuting a lot easier for everyone.
