Suzuki Micro EV Testing Begins - Launch in 2027

Suzuki micro EV spied in Europe Launch in 2027 To offer a range of over 270km

Six months back, Suzuki had unveiled the Vision e-Sky micro EV concept in Japan. This concept previewed the brand’s future compact electric car for domestic as well as international markets, including Europe. In fact, testing of the new Suzuki micro EV has already been commenced in Europe. This confirms that the production version of the Vision e-Sky will arrive in Europe.

The spotted model was covered in thick cloth, which confirms that the development process is underway. The prototype snapped had European license plates and, was a left-hand-drive model. This suggests that Suzuki will develop the new electric model for both right-hand-drive and left-hand-drive markets. It will sit below the Maruti e Vitara, and will be the brand’s most affordable electric vehicle.

The concept model was 3.39 meters in length, but the production model could be longer to offer more space inside the cabin. In the global markets, the micro EV will take on the likes of the Renault Twingo, Dacia Spring, Leapmotor T03 and the Fiat 500. If it arrives in our market, the Suzuki micro EV will rival the Tata Tiago EV, MG Comet EV, Citroen eC3 and the upcoming VinFast VF3.

At the unveil of the Vision e-Sky, the company claimed that the small EV is designed and developed to meet the mobility needs of drives who use a minicar daily as a means of transport, whether to go to work, do the shopping, or for short trips.

The company had confirmed that the concept model offers a range of over 270 kilometres on a single charge. This range with the production vehicle will make it one of the most efficient in the segment. The production version of the Suzuki Vision e-Sky is slated to be launched for 2027.
