Tata Motor's popular electric vehicles, the Nexon EV and Punch EV have scored 5-star ratings in Bharat NCAP crash tests. Based on the brand’s Acti.ev platform, the Tata Punch EV has excelled in adult occupant and child occupant safety. Similarly, the Nexon EV received top points for both adult and child protection occupancy tests.

Tata Nexon EV has been one of the best-selling models since its introduction in India. In the recent Bharat NCAP crash test, the EV received a 5-star rating in both adult and child occupancy.
In adult protection, it received 29.86 points out of 32 points in total. In the frontal offset deformable barrier test, it collected 14.26 out of 16 points while in the side movable deformable barrier test, it scored 15.60 out of 16 points.
As for the child occupant protection, it secured 23.95 points out of 24 in total. In the dynamic test, the Nexon EV scored 23.95 points out of 24. In the child seat restraint, it scored 12 out of 12 points while in the vehicle assessment, it recorded 9 out of 13 points.

The Punch EV performed equally well in the Bharat NCAP crash test, securing 5-star ratings.
For the adult occupant protection, the Punch EV earned 31.46 points out of 32 points. In the frontal offset deformable barrier test, it recorded 14.26 out of 16 points and 15.60 out of 16 points for the side movable deformable barrier test.
In the child occupant protection, the EV collected 45 points out of 49. In the dynamic tests, it secured 23.95 points out of 24 while in the child seat restraint, it collected 12 out of 12 points and 9 points out of 13 in the vehicle assessment.
