Probably one of the most popular new cars launched in 2022, the Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 is back in a new avatar after being discontinued in 2020. The recently launched car is powered by an all-new 1-litre dual-jet VVT petrol engine. Sharper and more angular, the car gets a new design along with more features over the old model. Changes to the cabin include a new 7-inch touchscreen, dual airbags, keyless entry and more. The new car price in India starts from Rs 3.99 lakh (ex-showroom) to Rs 5.83 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Hyundai Tucson is the next car on this list of new cars in India. Now in its fourth generation, the new car price in Indian starts from Rs 27.70 (ex-showroom) and extends all the way up to Rs 34.54 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Tucson gets progressive and revolutionary design based on the brands ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ philosophy and stands out from the crowd. On the inside, it gets a new 10.25-inch infotainment unit along with digital instrument cluster and hidden air vents. Hyundai has introduced the Tucson in its long-wheelbase version for India.

The first mainstream hybrid SUV in the country, the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder is now available at a starting price of Rs 15.11 lakh (ex-showroom). This new car is offered in four trims – E, S, G and V, with mild-hybrid and strong-hybrid powertrain option. The strong hybrid tech includes a 115bhp, 1.5L TNGA Atkinson Cycle petrol motor and a 177.6V lithium-ion battery with Toyota’s e-drive transmission.

On the inside, the new car gets dual-tone black and brown interiors with a two-step recline for the rear seat. In addition, the car also gets a two-step retractability for panoramic sunroof. the Currently prices are out only for the three variants of the strong hybrid powertrain along with the top variant of the mild-hybrid unit.
The next car on the list is the ‘OG SUV’. The Mahindra Scorpio Classic is not exactly a new car but carries the legacy of the Scorpio in a refreshed avatar. The new car continues the tough, robust, and powerful outlook with a muscular bonnet, new twin-peaks logo and a bold grille. The new diamond-cut alloy wheels and signature Scorpio tower LED tail lamps have highly distinguished its road presence. Mechanical updates to the new car include 14% more fuel efficient engine and weight savings of up to 55 kilos. The Classic Scorpio is available in two variants Classic S and Classic S 11. The new car price starts from Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and extends to Rs 15.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

Finally, the last new car on the list is from the house of Mercedes-AMG. The first electric sedan from the brand the EQS 53 4Matic+ is available as a CBU import at the moment. Flagship model in Mercedes Benz India;s line-up, the new car price is set at Rs 2.45 crore (ex-showroom). The new car gets a range of up to 586 kilometers and comes powered by 107.8 kW battery producing 560bhp and1020 Nm of torque. This will also be the first new Mercedes Car to come equipped with MBUX Hyper Screen on the inside.
