Hyundai India launched its micro-SUV, the Exter in July 2023 at an introductory price of Rs 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Now, it ranges from Rs 6.12 lakh to Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The Exter is the smallest and most budget-friendly SUV in Hyundai's India portfolio.
Here are a few reasons why the Hyundai Exter is a perfect micro SUV for any first-time car buyer.

Hyundai has used a 'Sensuous Sportiness' design philosophy for the Exter. From the outside, the SUV features a stylish front grille with a wide front skid plate. Its front fascia is characterised by H-LED DRLs and projector headlights.
From the side, the micro-SUV highlights thick body cladding, C-pillar-mounted rear door handles, and 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.
Towards the rear, the Exter flaunts its H-shaped LED tail lights and the black parametric strip, connecting the two tail lamps. Overall, the design of the Exter SUV depicts a sense of youthfulness and a modern persona to attract young customers.

Inside the Hyundai Exter, one can get ample space and more comfort on long journeys. Although its interior layout has been carried from the Hyundai Aura and Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS, there are a few differences. It comes equipped with a dual-tone theme with a seating capacity of 5 occupants. Besides, there is a small front armrest with cup holders underneath, 50:50 split rear seats with headrests, and metal finish inner door handles.

In terms of features, the all-new Exter is offered with first-in-segment features. These comprise a voice-enabled smart electric sunroof, footwell lighting, wireless phone charger, multi-language UI support, ambient sounds of nature, a dashcam with a dual camera, and rear AC vents. Other smart features include an adjustable rear headrest, cooled glove box, fully automatic temperature control, an 8-inch HD infotainment system, and a fully digital instrument cluster with a 4.2-inch MID.
Apart from making this micro-SUV look stylish and feature-rich, Hyundai has also ensured the safety of its customers. It is available with six airbags as standard. Additionally, the car offers 40+ advanced safety features including Headlamp Escort function, ISOFIX, Rear Parking Camera, Rear Defogger, and Auto Headlamps. Apart from this, Hyundai Exter comes with segment-first safety features. These include 3-point Seat Belts, Burglar Alarms, Vehicle Stability Management, TPMS, and more.
