Currently, in its second generation, the Baleno flaunts the NEXA's 'Crafted Furturism' design language. Featuring flowing lines, the hatchback comes with a broader grille and chrome applique running beneath it. Maruti also gives a very flat and wide bonnet to this car and the lower bumper highlights and new LED fog lights. Besides, the new LED headlamps incorporate Nexa's new three-block Daytime Running Lamp trademark.
Overall, the exterior design of the Baleno hatchback combines sportiness, elegance, and aerodynamic elements to create a visually appealing hatchback that stands out on the road.

The Baleno incorporates various technologies to enhance the safety, and comfort of the driver and passengers. Segment-first features like Head-up Display and 360-degree camera help enhance the safety of the car and help the driver park in tight spaces. For the Comoros of its passengers, the four-wheeler comes provided with a 9-inch Smartplay Pro+ touchscreen infotainment system and 40+ connected car features. This new-age Baleno also offers rear AC vents, Type C fast charging ports, and the rest USB Type-A ports which are the best in its segment.
Some of the notable features include an all-LED lighting system, flat-bottom steering wheel and automatic climate control among others.
Maruti emphasizes a lot on safety on its car models. As far as the Baleno's safety features are concerned, it comes with six airbags, Hill-Hold Assist, and Electronic-Stability Program to make the car safer. In addition to it, the bold premium hatchback also comes loaded with Speed Alert System, Seat Belt Reminder, Rear Parking Assist Sensors and more.
Maruti Suzuki offers the Baleno with the updated 1.2-litre engine for both petrol and CNG fuel types. The petrol unit is capable of making 89 bhp and 113 Nm of torque. While the CNG unit is limited to 76 bhp with 98.5 Nm of torque. Transmission options on the 2023 Baleno include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT (petrol) gearboxes.
