Mahindra & Mahindra's flagship SUV product, the XUV700 has been popular in India for its attractive styling, powerful engines and class-leading technology. The SUV was originally designed as the second generation of the XUV 500.
Based on the new W601 monocoque platform, the XUV 700 was first launched in 2021 and has sold more than 1 lakh units. Recently the company updated the SUV to be RDE and BS^ Phase II compliant.
If you are planning to buy the Mahindra XUV 700, then here are all the essential details.
The Mahindra XUV700 boasts a bold and aggressive design, reflecting the company's new design language. Drawing inspiration from the Cheetah-inspired design of the XUV500, the new model features a large multi-slat grille, muscular bonnet and new LED headlamp unit with C-shaped LED DRLs. Its side profile, the four-wheeler is provided with flush door handles and body cladding all around. The SUV runs on 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.
Towards the rear, the car highlights tri-arrow tail lamps with a roof spoiler and silver skid plate. Overall, the Mahindra XUV700 features mature styling that is suitable for everyone.
With its new bunch of cars, Mahindra has focused on providing advanced technology and convenience features in its vehicles. The XUV 700 comes equipped with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster.
Other notable features include a 6-way power adjustable driver seat, panoramic sunroof, drive models, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android connectivity, dual-zone climate control, and up to 12 Sony speakers.
The XUV 700 comes equipped with advanced safety features such as up to 7 airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX anchors and an Electronic Stability Program. In fact, the top-spec variant gets the Level ADAS suite that offers Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane-Keep Assist, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System and Adaptive Cruise Control.
The XUV700 takes power from two engines - turbo-petrol and turbo-diesel. The 2.0-litre turbo-petrol is capable of generating a maximum power output of 197 bhp and a peak torque of 380 Nm. While its 2.2-litre diesel unit can deliver 182 bhp and 450 Nm.
Both these engine options come paired to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. An all-wheel-drive (AWD) system is also on offer in the high-spec AX7 and AX7 L trims.
The Mahindra XUV700 is one of the most-loved SUV models in India. Its modern design, advanced features, and strong performance undoubtedly make it worth buying. So what's stopping you from buying a new Mahindra XUV700? Book your SUV now!
