While the automaker is yet to announce the prices of the Fronx, bookings for the four-wheeler have already begun at a token amount of Rs 11,000. The expected price of the crossover at the time of launch is said to be around Rs 10 to Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom).

It is slated for a launch around the first quarter of 2023, and will be sold exclusively through Maruti’s premium NEXA outlets. Upon its introduction, the vehicle will be offered in 5 variants - Sigma, Delta, Delta+, Zeta, and Alpha.

The New Fronx comes loaded to the brim with creature comforts and features. All variants will get auto climate control, reverse parking sensors, keyless entry, and a dual tone interior. Except for the base Sigma trim, all variants get Maruti’s Smartplay Pro touchscreen infotainment system.

The higher versions of the Maruti Fronx provide added features like auto headlights with LED DRLs, LED light bar on the boot lid, a bigger 9-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 360-degree camera, wireless charging, paddle shifters for the auto variants, Suzuki connected car tech, a 6-speaker audio setup from Arkamys, cruise control, ambient lighting, and more.

Maruti Fronx: Engine Specifications

The company provides two powertrain choices on the new Fronx which are both petrol. They include the 1.2-litre K-Series Dual Jet, Dual VVT N/A motor developing a maximum power output of 90 bhp with 113 Nm of peak torque. There is mild-hybrid technology available with this powertrain.

Making a return after 3 years is the automaker’s 1-litre Boosterjet turbo-petrol that pumps out 100 bhp with 148 Nm of max torque. The Fronx will be the only Maruti model to be offered with this motor alongside mild-hybrid tech.

Transmission choices for the Fronx includes a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed torque converter automatic, and an AMT gearbox.
