It all began with a golf cart. Slow, chubby, designed to carry weight, doesn't give a thought about performance. And then things took a turn for the electric vehicle segment. With the emergence of fast-moving EVs in the market, car giant companies are now trying their luck with opting for the near future element of electricity. Following in the footsteps of future technology, the German manufacturer, with its version of conventional electric SUV, called the all-new Audi E- Tron. We still wonder upon the pricing of this EV, but surely Car Lelo stands proud to provide the best deals on luxury cars.
Built on the all-new modified Q5 platform, the e-Tron is no less SUV than any other combustion engine vehicle by Audi. Aspiring range, astounding performance and magnificent looks make the vehicle more meaningful. Where other companies still stumble on whether to come electric in India, Audi has its hopes high and is all in this time. Companies like BMW have their electric cars, and mind them; they look futuristic. While we all praise the futuristic looks of other new cars, we Indians still stand sceptical for their practicality, and Audi takes the benefit of the doubt here.
Cascading on practical looks and futuristic features, the e-Tron lays somewhere in the middle of both categories making it more acceptable and part of the mainstream SUV. Audi has a thing for each piece serving a purpose. So happens with the new e-Tron. Beginning with the grills and the air intakes help cool the dual motors and the braking system when overheated. The 21-inch alloy cut wheels are specifically designed for better aerodynamics allowing the smooth cruising of the car at high speeds.
When aerodynamics comes into consideration, Audi has gone out-of-the-box with its ORVC. Unlike any other Outside Rearview Mirror, Audi uses outside rearview cameras. These high-definition cameras project a live feed of the sides in a specially designed screen fitted somewhere in the a-pillars, all for improved aerodynamics. While this feature might take considerable driving to get used to, that again is a matter of time. Looking at the back profile, we get to experience a streamlined breaking light running through the boot door, making the futuristic looks possible.
Inside the vehicle is just like any other high price tagged SUV. Fitted in with lots of features, the e-Tron serves the purpose of Audi's introduction to the EV market. Using the dual screen display on the centre console just like most Range Rover does, the Tron needs no introduction to the German automobile manufacturer. The digital dial in front of the driver has navigation built-in, cutting down to the hassle of looking at the centre console repeatedly for directions. The gear knob's unique design impresses the lot as well. Many standing out features can be overlooked when scrolling through other new cars online. The back seats are just sensible as expected. With an ample amount of headroom and legroom to offer, the five-seater SUV can be more than practical for anyone with a height of 6'2 or less.
Under the hood, the vehicle is powered with a dual-motor system attached to each axle, making it all-wheel drive. The futuristic architecture of the car produces a maximum of 360PS and 561Nm of torque. The regenerative braking of the vehicle acts as a boon at lower speeds and brakings. These are just some of the highlighting features of the cars. There is so much to talk about the new e-Tron. With our eyes on the screen and our calendars set to the launch date, we wait for Audi to make its debut in India with its all-new EV, the Audi E-Tron 2021.
