The Scorpio SUVs were the top-selling models from the brand. Its domestic sales were secured with 8,715 units in January 2023 while last year during the same month, the company could only sell 3,026 units. Overall, YoY growth was marked at 188 percent for Scorpio SUV. Bolero takes second place in the best-selling SUVs from Mahindra. It recorded 8,574 sales units, up from 3,506 units in January 2022, clearly making a YoY growth of 144.55 percent.
After this, Mahindra XUV700 marked 40 percent YoY growth by securing 5,787 unit sales in January 2023 as compared to 4,119 units sold last year. The XUV300 was also in the game; it logged 5,390 units last month, up from 4,550 units in January 2022.

On a monthly basis, Mahindra accounted for 24 percent growth for the Scorpio while in the case of Bolero, the company achieved 17.28 percent monthly sales growth. However, it could not make much of a difference for the XUV700 as it grew by only 3 percent. The XUV300 performed better in this case; it recorded 11.13 percent sales growth last month in comparison to December 2022.

Encountering the outstanding sales growth of Mahindra, you must be wondering what factors lead to so much demand?
Firstly the brand has a lot of newer models to offer across segments to its customers. For example, we have the XUV700. Built on the legacy of the Mahindra XUV500, the XUV700 not only offers new-age exterior design but also provides tech that is close to none. The SUV comes loaded with features like Level 2 ADAS Tech, automatic booster headlamps, Mercedes-Benz-style display panels, driving modes, and more.
Another model which has gained loads of traction in the mind of a new car buyer is the name of Mahindra Scorpio N. Recently introduced into the Indian market, this highly popular SUV offers 3 rows of seating unlike before. It brings to the table an aggressive styling thereby providing a strong road presence.
Over the years, the Indian automaker has been able to build a reputation for manufacturing safer cars in the country. This is established from the fact that their cars like the XUV700 offer high-quality safety standards. In fact, the Mahindra XUV700 has received a 5-Star Safety Rating from Global NCAP for Adult Occupant Safety. While in the case of Child Occupant Safety, it was able to achieve 4-Stars.

In terms of powertrains, the company is not far behind. Their mHawk range of engines are tried and tested which can be found in models like the Scorpio N, Bolero, XUV700, and Thar. They have recently been updated to comply with the RDE (Real Driving Emission) norms. Besides this, the brand also produces mStallion engines that feature the latest technology and provide better performance.
All in all, the Indian SUV maker, Mahindra manufactures its models with rigid bodies, powerful engines, and a plethora of safety features that make Mahindra cars worth buying.
