Continuing along its journey to launch 10 special edition models, BMW India has launched the sixth ‘50 Jahre M Edition’ with the X4. Available in both petrol and diesel engine option the SUV is priced at Rs 72.9 lakh (ex-showroom). The car is designed with a focus on dynamics to suit motorsports enthusiasts.
On the outside, the X4 ‘50 Jahre M Edition’ sports coupe gets a new iconic M emblem along with ‘50 Years of M’ door projector. The distinctive mesh kidney grille gets all-black mesh-inserts and a frame finished in ‘M High Gloss Shadow line’. The headlamp is us now 10mm slimmer and flatter giving the car an aggressive and sporty off-road look. The high gloss treatment continues to the side with a visual black frame around the coupe-style windows. The rear gets a new bumper finished in dark shadow metallic colour with new anvil-shaped inlays in high gloss black and vertically arranged reflectors. Also new to the car are a 20-inch M Jet Black alloy wheel with M Sport Brake Callipers in Red High Gloss.
On the inside, the cabin is finished in a leather Vernasca upholstery with ‘Black’ decor stitching and M interior highlight trim finished in Pearl Chrome as standard. In addition, customers can customise their X4 according to their taste with Motorsport Package and Carbon Package.
The X4 comes powered by the familiar 2.0-litre petrol and 3.0-litre six-cylinder diesel engine options. The diesel dishes out 265 bhp and 620 Nm while the petrol is sufficient for 252 bhp and 350 Nm. Both units come mated to an 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission option.
Prior to this model, BMW has released 50 Jahre M Edition models for the 3-Series, 5-Series, 6-Series, M4 and X7 models.
