The Korean automaker, Hyundai revealed its most ambitious growth strategy at the company’s first CEO Investor Day held outside of Korea. Hyundai Motor reaffirms its commitment to achieving 5.55 million global vehicle sales by 2030. The big news is that Hyundai has confirmed that it will launch an India-specific EV, which is most likely to be an all-new small electric SUV.
The Korean automaker will heavily invest in hybrids in coming years. The company reveals that it will expand the hybrid lineup to more than 18 models by 2030, including the introduction of Genesis hybrid models starting from 2026.
The all-new Hyundai Palisade hybrid will present next-generation TMED-II technology, offering enhanced performance and fuel efficiency. This full-sized SUV will also arrive in our market sometime in 2027-28.
The brand’s EV line-up will receive next-gen electric powertrains in 2027. The extended range EVs will utilise the high-performance batteries and motors to deliver EV-like driving experience with more than 960km of range through optimised battery engine integration.
Hyundai has not disclosed any information on its upcoming EV for the Indian market. It is most likely to be an all-new small electric SUV with size similar to the Hyundai Exter. Previous reports claim that Hyundai could introduce the Inster EV. The new Hyundai EV will directly rival the Tata Punch EV. It will be locally produced at Hyundai’s Sriperumbudur factory.
