Mahindra XUV700 facelift brings sleek design updates and new tech features. The Electric Thar is coming soon with rugged off-road capabilities and zero emissions. BE Rall-E offers an adventure-ready electric SUV focused on off-road performance.
Mahindra is ready up to launch a wave of new premium SUVs in India. The line-up includes the much-awaited Mahindra XUV700 facelift, an Electric Thar, and other exciting models which will be launched in the next two years.
Here is what we know about these upcoming Mahindra SUVs in India 2025 and beyond.
Mahindra XUV700 facelift has been spotted on Indian roads, and it’s clear that the automaker is putting a lot of effort into refreshing this popular SUV. Expected to launch by early 2026, the XUV700 facelift will come with several visual updates, including reprofiled bumpers, redesigned lighting elements, and a new set of alloy wheels.
While the XUV700 facelift 2026 will retain the signature flush-fitting door handles, the rear end will also see some revisions, including new colour choices. Inside, the cabin will feature a more premium feel with new upholstery, updated trims, and an all-new dashboard design that incorporates a triple-screen setup - a large central touchscreen, a full-digital driver’s display, and a dedicated front passenger screen.
Under the hood, the XUV700 facelift will continue with the tried and tested 2.0-litre petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines. The gearbox options are also expected to remain the same, with a six-speed manual and a six-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
There are speculations that Mahindra could explore hybrid versions of the XUV700 in the future, but there is no official confirmation yet. However, for now, the XUV700 facelift launch date remains targeted for 2026 with no significant changes to the engine lineup.

Mahindra is also exploring the electric future, with the Electric Thar likely to make its debut soon. Recently shown as a concept, this will be the first all-electric version of the beloved Thar. Expect the Electric Thar to maintain its rugged appeal while adding eco-friendly features and tech to the mix.
Moreover, Mahindra is deep into testing the electric variant of the XUV700. Set for launch next year, this three-row electric SUV will resemble the ICE-powered XUV700 but will sport EV-specific features like a sealed-off grille and bespoke lighting elements.
Another exciting development is the BE Rall-E, an adventure-ready version of the BE 6 electric SUV. With camouflaged prototypes already spotted on Indian roads, the BE Rall-E will be designed with off-roading in mind, offering greater ruggedness and capability compared to the standard BE 6. The powertrain will likely come from the same battery packs as the BE 6.
In addition to these, Mahindra is also expected to bring a zero-emission Scorpio in the future. Using the NU_IQ platform, which will enter production in 2027, this electric Scorpio will bring a premium feel with a host of advanced features. Moreover, the facelifted ICE three-door Thar is also in development, ensuring that the Thar continues to be a fan favourite for years to come.
