MG is planning to launch the Astor facelift in the market. Ahead of its official launch, the car was caught naked in India and the same images were shared on social media platforms. However, the model that was spotted undisguised was a VS SUV (Hybrid), sold in Indonesia and Thailand. Reports suggest that the upcoming Astor facelift could borrow design cues and hybrid tech from the global-spec VS HEV model.

As shown in the images, the updated Astor will have a new colour scheme. It will feature a whole new front fascia, featuring sleeker LED headlamps with DRLs and a redesigned grille. Other exterior updates include an aggressive bumper with huge air dams, a blue accent on the nose, a front camera, silver accent on the skid plate, silver-finished roof rails, redesigned LED tail-lamps, extended roof spoiler with high-mounted stop lamp, and redesigned dual-tone alloy wheels.

The interior of the Astor facelift will have an all-black theme. It is likely to have a revised dashboard with a dual-screen setup for infotainment and instrument cluster. Other notable changes might include a new centre console with a smaller gear selector lever, a wireless charger, an electronic parking brake, and more.
The details of the powertrain for the facelift Astor are under wraps. However, we can expect it to continue with the same engine choices mated with hybrid technology and better fuel efficiency.
Upon launch, the Astor facelift will rival the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Honda Elevate, Hyundai Creta, and Kia Seltos in the mid-size SUV segment.
