Ending all the speculations, Nitin Gadkari, the Minster of Road Transport and Highways of India, has introduced a new FASTag-based annual subscription pass. The new annual FASTag pass will cost Rs 3,000 and valid annually for up to 200 trips. The minster announced that the new scheme will officially commence from August 15, 2025.
The new FASTag Annual scheme is only valid for privately owned vehicles such as cars, jeeps and vans. Nitin Gadkari stated that the annual pass will enable “seamless and cost-effective travel across National Highways throughout the country.”
Government will introduce a dedicated link for activation and renewal of the annual pass on the Rajmarg Yatra App as well as on the official websites of NHAI and MoRTH.
