Nissan cars has just released the first official details of the upcoming Magnite Kuro Edition with a new teaser. The brand has also started accepting bookings at a token amount of Rs 11,000, with prices to be announced in October. We take a look at what’s different in the new limited edition Magnite.
Kuro means black, and the new Nissan Magnite Kuro Edition will basically be a blacked-out version of the Magnite. It has an all-black exterior with chrome grille surrounds, silver skid plates, roof rails, headlights, and alloy wheels all getting a new shade of black. Moving inside, the Magnite gets an all-black finish on the seats, dashboard, and door pads. Additionally, it also gets new Kuro Edition mats.
In terms of features, sources suggest that Nissan may offer some new features in the Magnite Kuro Edition. The subcompact SUV already comes with features like an 8-inch infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, connected car tech, wireless charging, ambient lighting, 360-degree camera, and more.
The 2023 Nissan Magnite Kuro Edition will be offered with both the 1-litre N/A and turbo-petrol engine options. However, it will also offer a new AMT gearbox with the N/A petrol that was not available earlier in the regular Magnite. In fact, Nissan may introduce this powertrain on the standard Magnite soon as well. The N/A petrol makes 71 bhp with 96 Nm of peak torque while the turbo-petrol pumps out 100 bhp with 152 Nm of max torque.
The Magnite competes in the subcompact SUV segment against the likes of the Renault Kiger, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Fronx and Brezza, Kia Sonet, and the recently updated Tata Nexon.
