Tata Osprey SUV is the renamed Tata Nexon It is available with turbo petrol engine only
Tata Motors Passenger Vehicle Ltd in partnership with Motus Holdings has launched the Tata Osprey (known as the Tata Nexon in India) in the South African market. The Osprey name is inspired by a bird known for its vision, strength and adaptability, and one that is at home across South Africa's landscapes. The Tata Osprey is available at a starting price of R249,900 (INR 14.78 lakh), across authorized TMPVL dealerships in South Africa.
Alongside the new Osprey, Tata Motors has also unveiled its new global, customer-facing brand identity, TATA.CARS, in South Africa. The Tata Osprey compact SUV is equipped with features like Panoramic Sunroof, Bi-LED headlamps, LED DRLs and X-Graphic Full LED Taillights, and stylish 16-inch alloy wheels.
Inside the cabin, the SUV gets automatic climate control, cooled glove box, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless phone charger, push-button start with passive entry, cruise control, and A-type and C-type USB charging ports.
For safety and security, the SUV gets 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), front parking sensors, Auto headlamps, Rain-sensing wipers, a 360° HD Surround View System with Blind View Monitor.
The Tata Osprey is available in 4 variants - Smart+ MT, Smart+ DCA, Creative DCA and Creative+ PS DCA. It is powered by a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 120 PS and 170 Nm, and is paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCA).
