Tata Motors is preparing to launch a wide range of new cars and SUVs, which will be launched in the country in the next 1 year. The company is following a strategy where its EVs and ICE vehicles look largely similar in terms of design and interior. The Tata Punch will be the next model to receive the same treatment, as the facelifted model is ready to Hit Indian streets.
In fact, Tata Punch facelift has been spotted testing multiple times on the Indian roads. The updated model will have styling similar to the Punch.ev, featuring the brand's new design language. It will come with split headlamp setup, and bumper & bonnet lines similar to the Punch EV. However, the small SUV is not likely to receive the full-width LED light bar at the front fascia. At the back, the Tata Punch facelift could receive subtle styling tweaks in the form of revised tail-lights. The side profile will look similar to the current car, except for the new alloy wheels.
The Tata Punch facelift is likely to receive features similar to the Punch.ev. It will get a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 10.25-inch fully digital driver display, a 360-degree camera with Blind Spot Monitoring, and a twin-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo. The sub-compact SUV could also receive new leatherette seats with ventilation function.
Similar to the Nexon, the Tata Punch facelift could offer a sunroof with more variants. The small SUV will receive C-type fast charging ports, and new console for armrest and integrated rear AC vents.
The Punch facelift will continue to be offered with the 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine with 5-speed manual or an AMT automatic. This engine produces 85bhp and 113Nm of torque. The SUV will also get a CNG powered variant with manual and AMT gearbox options.
