The automotive industry is constantly evolving and several new technologies are being introduced to enhance safety, connectivity, and overall driving experience. It is also said that a couple of new technologies will be introduced in new cars in the coming future. Some of these tech features include a 5G connectivity network, biometric sensors and augmented reality head-up displays. Let’s get into more details:

Indian telecom operators like Jio and Bharti Airtel are seeking to tap India's 5G private network opportunity specifically in the automobile sector. In fact, Airtel recently deployed a private 5G network at the Mahindra Chakan manufacturing facility under a partnership with Tech Mahindra, becoming the first 5G-enabled automobile manufacturing unit in India.
Once 5G is introduced in upcoming cars, the vehicles will easily communicate with each other (vehicle-to-vehicle or V2V) and with surrounding infrastructure (vehicle-to-infrastructure or V2I) in real-time. This will also enable advanced safety features including Collision Avoidance Systems and Adaptive Cruise Control to work at the optimum level.
Although integrating 5G in cars may take some time to implement, it does hold significant promise for enhancing connectivity, safety, and overall driving experience for car owners.

Augmented Reality (AR) Head-Up Displays (HUDs) in cars are advanced technology systems that project digital information onto the windshield or a transparent display in the driver's line of sight. These displays overlay virtual graphics and information onto the real-world view, providing drivers with an enhanced driving experience.
Another advantage of using AR HUD is that it can display important safety-related information, such as Collision Warnings, Lane Departure Warnings, and Pedestrian Detection Alerts. These visual cues help drivers quickly and effectively respond to potential hazards.
By enhancing situational awareness and reducing the need for drivers to divert their attention from the road, AR HUDs have the potential to improve safety, navigation, and overall driving experience in cars.

Another upcoming technology in cars includes biometric sensors. Biometric sensors in cars refer to the integration of sensors that can measure and analyze human biological characteristics to enhance various aspects of the driving experience. These sensors can provide important information about the driver's physical condition and can be used for several purposes.
Biometric sensors can also be integrated into keyless entry systems, allowing only authorized individuals (based on their biometric data) to access and start the vehicle. This provides an additional layer of security against unauthorized use or theft.
