2023 BMW iX1

The luxury SUV, BMW iX1 is the all-electric counterpart to the recently launched X1. Even the exterior and interior designs are similar. However, it will be distinguished by a large kidney grille flanked on each side by stylish headlights with integrated LED DRLs.

Equipped with a large 64.7 kWh battery pack, this fully electric SUV is said to offer a claimed range of 439 kms on a single charge. The 2023 iX1 is expected to generate 307 bhp of maximum power output and 493 Nm of peak torque. Supported by a 130 kW DC fast charger, the model can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in just 20 minutes. BMW is likely to launch the iX1 by mid-2023 in India.

Volvo C40 Recharge

While Volvo Car India launched its first EV SUV, XC40 Recharge in India, the company also confirmed the introduction of another electric offering in the country named Volvo C40 Recharge. It will be based on the same Compact Modular Architecture platform. The front end of the electric SUV would be identical to the XC40 Recharge. However, from the side, the 2023 C40 Recharge would have a sloping roofline, giving it a coupe type look. Towards the rear, it will feature new LED taillamps with a twin-pod roof spoiler, making it appear very sporty.

Moving on to the interior, it is expected to have the same dashboard layout as the XC40. But, the upcoming C40 Recharge will have a leather-free cabin and ADAS tech. Besides, the new SUV is likely to be powered by a twin electric motor setup; one on the front and another one on the rear axle. Powered by a 78 kWh battery pack, the electric SUV claims to offer a range of around 420 kms. Further, it will have the capability of producing 408 bhp of maximum power output and 660 Nm of peak torque. The 2023 Volvo C40 Recharge is expected to be launched around the month of July 2023 in the country.

Mercedes-Benz GLC 2023

The German automaker, Mercedes-Benz India, is likely to launch new cars in the country during 2023. One of them will be the New-Generation GLC which will come with a redesigned front fascia and new LED headlamp clusters combined with horizontal DRLs. In terms of dimensions, the model is expected to be longer than its predecessor with an increased wheelbase. On the inside, the New Mercedes-Benz GLC will be equipped with a larger 11.9-inch dash-mounted touchscreen infotainment system and a 12.3-inch digital display.

The model is likely to offer the latest features like heated and cooled seats, enhanced leather upholstery, and a wireless charging pad. In addition, the New GLC will be offered with ADAS technology. Speaking of powertrain details, the upcoming Mercedes GLC 2023 will get mild-hybrid assistance for all petrol and diesel engine options along with an all-wheel drive system as standard. The SUV is likely to be launched in India by December-end 2023.

Skoda Enyaq iV

Enyaq iV

The Skoda Enyaq iV was first revealed globally in 2021. Post that, the model has been spotted testing in the country and it is expected that Skoda will launch its fully electric SUV, Enyaq iV somewhere in 2023.

The EV SUV will have a black trapezoidal grille with close vents, a sharply styled rear profile, and 19-inch aero Proteus alloy wheels. Its cabin is expected to offer luxurious lounge trim to give a more premium look. It is also likely to feature a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system, leather-wrapped steering wheel, digital cockpit with head-up display, sunroof, ambient lighting, and more.

Besides, the vehicle is likely to come equipped with a 77 kWh battery pack that will power both electric motors. The combined power output of the electric SUV is said to be 201 bhp with 310 Nm of peak torque. It will offer a range of 545 kms on a single charge.

Mercedes-Benz EQA

The New Mercedes-Benz EQA will be the first fully electric compact SUV. Expected to be launched in the country by March 2023, the EQA 250 is likely to feature a fresh design language. While its interior layout is expected to omit the touchpad from the centre console as well as get an updated MBUX system. Although there are not many details pertaining to the technical specifications, this electric SUV is likely to offer a range of about 426 kms.
