New Duster price released on March 17 Renault Bridger concept to debut on March 10 New 7-seater Duster arriving by the end of FY2027
French automaker, Renault will launch 3 brand new SUVs in the Indian market in the next couple of years. The company will launch the new-gen Duster midsize SUV on March 17, 2026. Its hybrid version is scheduled to be launched by October 2026. Renault has also confirmed to launch an all-new 7-seater SUV based on the new Duster’s platform. Moreover, a new Bridger SUV concept is set to make its global debut on March 10, 2026. The SUV will be designed and developed in India, and will go on sale by 2028.
The new Duster will take on the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, Kia Seltos, Tata Sierra and others in the segment. We expect the new model to cost somewhere around Rs 9.50 lakh to Rs 20 lakh, ex-showroom. It will be offered with two turbo petrol engines, including a 1.0L, 3-cylinder, turbo petrol and a 1.3L turbo petrol. While the former is good for 100hp and 160Nm, the 1.3L turbo unit produces 163hp and 280Nm. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual as standard and a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic with 1.3L turbo unit.
The SUV will be the most powerful in its category. Moreover, its hybrid version will get the strongest and most powerful powertrain, comprising a 109bhp, 1.8L, 4-cylinder petrol engine paired with a 49bhp electric motor, a 1.4kWh battery pack and a 20bhp hybrid starter generator (HSG). The combined power and torque output stands at 160bhp and 172Nm, respectively.

It is most likely to be the 7-seater version of the Dacia Bigster or Renault Boreal. Testing of the new SUV has already been started on the Indian roads. The new 7-seater SUV will be launched before the end of FY27, by March 2027. The 7-Seater Renault SUV will directly rival the Mahindra XUV 7XO, Tata Safari, Hyundai Alcazar and the MG Hector Plus. It will be manufactured at Renault’s Chennai based manufacturing plant.
The Bigster for India is expected to measure around 4.6 meters in length with an expected wheelbase of around 2.74 meters. It is expected to be powered by a 1.3-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine that produces 163hp and 250Nm of torque. Transmission choices likely to include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic unit. Its hybrid version will get the same 1.8L petrol-hybrid engine that powers the new Duster.

Renault has confirmed that the Bridger will be a sub-4 meter SUV, and will be positioned between the Kiger and the Duster. The teaser reveals that the SUV will carry a boxy silhouette with a flatter body and smooth surfaces, and a tailgate mounted spare wheel. The new mini Duster is rumoured to be revealed sometime in 2027 and its India launch is expected by 2028. It is expected to be powered by a 100hp, 1.0L, 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine with manual and CVT automatic gearbox options.
