Hyundai Bayon Launches Today: Price Expectations, Delivery Date
Hyundai Bayon expected to be priced around Rs 9.5 lakh - 15.5 lakh It will be positioned between the Venue and the Creta
The long-awaited Hyundai Bayon midsize crossover-SUV will finally launch in the Indian market today. Interested customers can book the SUV online or at authorised Hyundai dealership by paying an initial token amount of Rs 11,000. The Bayon sits between the sub-4m Venue and the Creta SUV in Hyundai’s SUV line-up in India. It will directly rival the Maruti Suzuki Victoris and others in the category.
Hyundai Bayon Price Expectations and Delivery Date
Estimated Price: The Bayon will be offered in 5 trim levels - HX2, HX4, HX6, HX8 and HX10 - in manual and automatic gearbox options. We expect the Hyundai Bayon price in India to start around Rs 9.5 lakh for base HX2 and extends up to Rs 15.5 lakh for the top-spec HX10 AT.
Delivery Date: Hyundai has already dispatched the new Bayon to dealerships for customers preview and test drives. While the official delivery date is yet to be announced, it is confirmed that the SUV deliveries will begin in the first week of November 2026 during Diwali week.
Bayon Dimensions and Boot Space
In terms of proposition, the Hyundai Bayon measures 4245mm in length, 1810mm in width, and 1605mm in height with a wheelbase of 2600mm. The SUV has a ground clearance of 205mm, while the boot space stands at 505-litres.
Engine Option
Engine Type: 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder MPi naturally-=aspirated petrol
Power Output: 115 PS at 6,300rpm
Peak Torque: 144 Nm at 4,500rpm
Gearbox Options - 6-speed manual and Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT)
The Hyundai Bayon is powered by a tried & tested 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, naturally-aspirated petrol engine that also powers the Creta. This engine churns out 115 PS and 144 Nm of peak torque, and is paired with either a 6-speed manual or an iVT (CVT).
The Automatic Bayon comes with Dash Boost Mode and Sporty Drive Tech to offer instant power boost and sportier driving experience. It also has Paddle shifters, and three drive modes - Eco, Normal and Sport.
Key Details
The Hyundai Bayon is based on the global K enhanced platform, which is engineered to offer 5-star safety rating. It comes with a dual 12.3-inch Curved Panel comprising a touchscreen infotainment unit and a digital instrument console, Generative AI Voice Assistant, offline embedded voice controls, controller Over-the-Air (OTA) updates, Hyundai Bluelink Suite, etc.
Comfort and Convenience: Ventilated front seats, powered driver’s seat, leatherette upholstery, automatic climate control, 360-degree surround view camera, power foldable and adjustable ORVMs, and an electric sunroof.
Safety Tech: 6 airbags as standard, ESC, Hill Start Assist Control, VSM, reverse parking sensors, speed sensing auto door locks, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, seat belt reminders, ABS with EBD and others. The SUV also gets LEVEL 2 ADAS suite with 23 features including Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Autonomous Emergency Braking and others.
