New Ranger Khaki colour to be introduced Interior offer a blacked-out theme No mechanical changes
Hyundai Motor India is planning to introduce ‘New Special Editions’ for the Creta and Alcazar. Expected to be called the Adventure Edition, it will replace Creta’s current Knight Edition. We take a closer look at the upcoming special edition SUVs.
Similar to the Creta Knight Edition, the New Adventure Edition will be a cosmetic update for both SUVs. Hyundai will offer a new ‘Ranger Khaki’ colour option that was seen on the recently launched Exter along with a contrasting black roof for a dual-tone finish. The roof rails, alloy wheels, ORVMs, and bumpers will get a blacked-out treatment as well. There will also be new Adventure Edition badging on the exterior.
Moving inside, both the Creta and Alcazar Adventure Editions will get an all-black interior finish with contrast stitching on the seats. The headrests and door sills will offer Adventure Edition badging as well. Like Creta’s Knight Edition, the new Adventure Edition will be available on multiple trim levels.
Mechanically, both the Creta and Alcazar Adventure Editions will remain similar to the regular variants. The former will be offered with a 1.5-litre petrol or a 1.5-litre turbo diesel motor. The Alcazar also gets the same powertrain options but adds a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol option to the line-up. Both automatic and manual gearbox options will be made available with these versions.
Latest media reports suggest that the South Korean manufacturer will be launching the Creta and Alcazar around September this year just before the start of the festive season. Expect it to be priced at a slight premium over the regular variants.
