KIA has skipped the lower range models for India and will offer the electric crossover SUV in two variants, namely the GT Line and GT Line AWD. Here is a variant wise break-up of the price list for your reference:
For India, KIA offers the EV6 with only the long-range 77.4 kWh battery pack in both RWD and AWD setups. This battery pack provides a range of 528 km on a single charge making it highly efficient. The larger battery pack and the dual synchronous motors offer the crossover a maximum power output of 320 bhp and peak torque of 620 Nm. Both variants come equipped with an ultra-fast DC charging technology that juices up the EV from 10 percent to 80 percent in just 18 minutes, while a 150-kW charger will be available as standard. Further enhancing its range, the manufacturer is offering the i-Pedal technology with the four-wheeler that will help bring the vehicle to a standstill without using the brake pedal.
The vehicle is a 5-star Euro NCAP and ANCAP rated product and gets 8-airbags as standard. For the first time in India, KIA offers over 10+ ADAS features, including Adaptive Driving Beam, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Following Assist, Blind-spot Monitoring, and more.
Designed on the ‘Opposites United’ philosophy. The four-wheeler features a bold exterior style with a distinctive crossover silhouette characterised by sleek DRLs that form the Digital Tiger Face. Offering a solid stance to the vehicle are its 20-inch aero-dynamic alloy wheels.
Like the exterior, the interior of the EV6 is a sharp departure from previous KIA products. The large 12.3-inch screen and the slim dashboard add a sense of space and openness to the cabin, while features like a 14-speaker Meridian sound system, Black Suede seats with vegan leather bolstering and the large sunroof add premiumness.
The Korean automaker is offering the electric SUV in 5 unique shades, namely Moonscape, Snow White Pearl, Runway Red, Aurora Black Pearl and Yacht Blue
Deliveries for the EV 6 will start from September 2022. Initially, KIA Motors India had planned to deliver only 100 examples in the country. But since opening pre-bookings, the automaker has received over 350 bookings and is now revaluating, bringing more models to India.
So, what do you think about the EV6? Has KIA priced the crossover to take the market by storm?
