Lamborghini Temerario, the successor to the Huracan, is set to launch in India on April 30, much earlier than the previously expected late 2025 timeline. It made its global appearance in August 2024 and now will be available soon in our country with a plug-in hybrid system.
The Temerario will carry design elements from the Huracan models, such as the shark-nose front and lower-lip spoiler. The headlights will be slimmer and positioned above hexagon-shaped LED DRLs. The hexagonal design will also be seen in the tail lights, centrally-mounted rear exhaust, side mirrors, and fuel tank cap.
The roofline and side panels will have pronounced lines for improved aerodynamics. Additionally, the car will come with 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels, available in forged and carbon-fiber options.
Inside, the Temerario’s cabin will have a dashboard with three displays. These include a 12.3-inch driver’s display, an 8.4-inch portrait-oriented touchscreen, and a 9.1-inch passenger screen. Physical buttons will be used on the steering wheel instead of digital ones. The center console will include a push start/stop button. The driver’s seat will be 18-way adjustable with heating and ventilation functions.
Unlike the Huracan, the Temerario will use a plug-in hybrid powertrain with a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, three electric motors, and an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The internal combustion engine will produce 789 BHP and 729 Nm, while the electric motors will add 148 BHP and 300 Nm, bringing the total output to 920 BHP.
It will have a 3.8 kWh battery pack, which can be charged in 30 minutes using a 7 kW AC charger. Lamborghini claims that the Temerario will accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 2.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 340 km/h.
Lamborghini Temerario is expected to have a higher price than the Huracan, somewhere around Rs 7 crore (ex-showroom). Its main rivals will include the McLaren 750S and Ferrari 296 GTB.
