Mahindra Hits 85,432 Sales Milestone, SUV Growth at 18 Percent

Domestic sales hit 50,659 units, up 18 percent, with total UV sales reaching 52,306 units. Mahindra recorded 16 percent growth, including exports. Domestic CV sales stood at 23,917 units for the month.

One of India's leading automaker, Mahindra has revealed the total sales report of January 2025. The numbers are solid as the auto sales stood at 85,432 units last month, reflecting a growth of 16 percent including exports. In the Utility Vehicles segment, the company registered 50,659 units in domestic sales, an increase of 18 percent with total sales, including exports, reaching 52,306 units. Meanwhile, domestic Commercial Vehicle sales stood at 23,917 units for the month.

Mahindra Sales Report January 2025 - Quick Highlights

Utility Vehicles: Mahindra sold 50,659 units last month, suggesting an 1 percent growth compared to the 43,068 units sold in January 2024.

Cars & Vans: No sales were recorded in January 2025. However, 13 units were sold last year in the same period.

Year-to-Date Sales: Mahindra sold 4,53,019 passenger vehicles from April 2024 to January 2025. This is a significant growth of 20 percent from 3,76,845 units in the same period last year.

Total Exports (January 2025): Mahindra exported 3,404 units, reflecting a growth of 95 percent, compared to 1,746 units in January 2024.

Year-to-Date Exports: From April 2024 to January 2025, the total exports stood at 27,505 units, marking a 28 percent increase from 21,551 units in the same period last year.

According to Veejay Nakra, President, Automotive Division, M&M Ltd., “We began the new year by selling 50659 SUVs, a growth of 18% and 85432 total vehicles, a growth of 16%. Our Electric Origin SUVs, BE6 and XEV 9E garnered a lot of interest at the recently concluded Bharat Mobility Global Expo held in New Delhi. We commenced the test drive for these vehicles on the 14th of January and are excited about bringing these vehicles to our customers. Bookings for these vehicles will commence on 14th February.”
