Mahindra has announced the expansion of its Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) programme across its entire born-electric SUVs, making it available on the BE 6 Sporteq, XEV 9S and XEV 9e. First introduced with the BE 6 SPORTEQ, the BaaS makes EV ownership more accessible to customers by financing the vehicle and battery separately through a unique dual-financing structure.
The Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq BaaS price starts at Rs 11.45 lakh with battery rent of Rs 3.75 per kilometer. This significantly reduces the upfront purchase cost while providing customers greater flexibility in managing their monthly outflow. The brand's new BaaS programme has received an overwhelming response from customers across the country. Based on this feedback, Mahindra is now extending BaaS across all variants of the BE 6 SPORTEQ and introducing it to its flagship electric SUVs, the XEV 9S and the XEV 9e.
The Mahindra XEV 9S BaaS price now starts at Rs 12.65 lakh with battery financing at an effective usage cost of Rs 3.75/km.
The XEV 9e now starts at Rs 13.90 lakh with a battery rental of Rs 3.75 per kilometer.
BaaS is now available across all variants of the BE 6 SPORTEQ, XEV 9S and XEV 9e. This expansion marks another important step in Mahindra's aim to simplify EV adoption by lowering entry barriers and putting customer choice at the centre of the ownership experience, through smarter and flexible ownership options.
