New Audi Q3 to debut in India tomorrow with a completely updated cabin. 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with 7-speed DSG and quattro AWD expected. Prices could range from Rs 43 lakh to Rs 53 lakh.
Audi is set to reveal the third-generation Q3 in India tomorrow, bringing a new design, a heavily updated cabin and more technology to the luxury SUV.
The new Q3 is expected to be offered in India with petrol power only, along with Audi’s quattro all-wheel-drive system. It will take on rivals such as the BMW X1 LWB and the upcoming updated Mercedes-Benz GLA.
The new Q3 gets an evolutionary exterior design, but several changes make it look noticeably different from the outgoing model. At the front, Audi has given the SUV sharper lines and a larger grille, while the overall design retains the familiar Q3 shape.
One of the biggest changes at the rear is the connected tail-lamp setup, which gives the SUV a more modern look while retaining Audi’s signature design elements. The new Q3 keeps the overall character of the existing SUV but gets a more contemporary appearance.

The interior has received a much bigger update compared with the exterior. The dashboard is dominated by two large digital screens, giving the new Q3 a more modern cabin. It also gets a new flat-bottom Audi steering wheel. The centre console features chrome inserts, adding a more premium touch to the cabin. Overall, the new interior is expected to be one of the biggest upgrades over the outgoing Q3.
The India-spec Audi Q3 is expected to continue with a 2.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine. The engine is expected to produce 188bhp and 320Nm. Power will be sent through a seven-speed DSG automatic gearbox, while Audi’s quattro all-wheel-drive system is expected to be offered as standard. Unlike some rivals that offer multiple engine options, Audi is expected to keep the new Q3's India line-up focused on petrol power.
Audi is likely to offer the new Q3 in Technology and Premium Plus variants. Both versions are expected to get the same powertrain, with differences mainly in terms of features and equipment. More details about the standard and optional features are expected to be revealed during the India debut.
The new Audi Q3 is expected to be priced between Rs 43 lakh and Rs 53 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete with the BMW X1 LWB, while the updated Mercedes-Benz GLA is also expected to arrive in India next year.
More details, including the final specifications, features and pricing, are expected to be announced when Audi reveals the new Q3 for India tomorrow.
