New SUVs, EVs and Sedans Coming to India in October 2026

The Indian car market is heading into a busy festive season, with several new SUVs, electric cars, hybrids and sedans lined up for October 2026. From luxury models like the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class facelift to mass-market products such as the Honda Elevate facelift, the month will see launches across multiple segments.

Mercedes-Benz will start the month with the Maybach S-Class facelift on October 5, followed by the Honda Elevate facelift and Skoda Slavia facelift on October 6. Volvo, Audi and Renault will then bring their new models later in the month.

Luxury Cars and New SUVs Lead the October Launches

The facelifted Mercedes-Maybach S-Class will get a refreshed front-end with a larger illuminated grille, redesigned headlamps and new star-shaped DRLs. The cabin is expected to continue with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, 14.4-inch central touchscreen and a 12.3-inch passenger display.

Honda's updated Elevate will follow on October 6. The facelift is expected to bring a revised grille, new LED lighting, updated bumpers and fresh alloy wheels. New features could include ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera and a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen. The existing 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine is expected to continue.

Skoda will also introduce the Slavia facelift on October 6. The sedan gets a major transmission update, with the 1.0-litre TSI now paired with a new 8-speed torque-converter automatic. The 1.5-litre TSI continues with the 7-speed DSG. The updated Slavia also gets a 360-degree camera, 10.1-inch touchscreen and a segment-first rear-seat massage function.

Volvo Adds Two Electric Models

The electric car space will see two major additions from Volvo on October 12. The Volvo EX90 is the brand's flagship three-row electric SUV. The India-spec model is expected to use a 106kWh battery with dual electric motors producing up to 456 hp and 670 Nm. Its claimed range can go up to 625km. Alongside it, Volvo is expected to introduce the ES90 electric sedan. International versions are available with 92kWh and 106kWh batteries, while power outputs range from 333 hp to 680 hp. The ES90 also supports an 800V architecture and up to 350kW DC fast charging.

Audi Q3 and Renault Duster Bring More Competition

The new-generation Audi Q3 is scheduled for October 16, with local production already underway in India. The new SUV is around 40mm longer and gets a completely redesigned exterior. The India-spec Q3 is expected to use a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing around 204 hp and 320 Nm. A 7-speed dual-clutch automatic and Quattro all-wheel drive are also expected. Renault will follow with the new Duster Hybrid on October 17. The SUV is expected to use a 1.8-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with two electric motors. The hybrid system produces around 160 hp and 172 Nm and uses a 1.4kWh battery.

More New Models Expected Around the Festive Season

The October launch rush will continue with several models whose exact India launch dates are yet to be confirmed. Hyundai is preparing the Bayon for India, with the compact SUV expected to use a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing around 115 hp and 144 Nm. Manual and IVT automatic options could be offered. Toyota is also expected to update the Glanza around early October. The Baleno-based hatchback could get styling and feature changes while retaining its 1.2-litre petrol engine, with manual and AMT options expected.

VinFast could introduce the VF3 electric SUV around October 18-19. The small two-door EV has a compact footprint and tall stance, and could become one of the smallest electric SUVs in the Indian market. Volkswagen is also preparing the Virtus facelift for the festive season. The sedan is expected to get styling and cabin updates, while the 1.0-litre TSI could receive an 8-speed automatic. The 1.5-litre TSI is expected to continue with the 7-speed DSG.

A Packed October for the Indian Car Market

With launches spread across luxury, electric, hybrid and mainstream segments, October 2026 is expected to be one of the busiest months for new cars in India. The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, Honda Elevate, Skoda Slavia, Volvo EX90, Volvo ES90, Audi Q3 and Renault Duster are among the key models expected during the month.
