The iconic Renault Duster is officially back. Renault has unveiled the third-generation Duster in India, bringing a completely new design, new platform and fresh powertrain options. The New Duster marks an important comeback for the brand in the highly competitive mid-size SUV segment.

Renault Duster 2026 is a full-generation update and looks very different from the older model sold in India. It is based on the Renault Group Modular Platform (RGMP), which has been developed to support modern powertrains and advanced technology. The SUV has been tested and tuned at the Madras Motor Race Track in Chennai to suit Indian driving conditions and is also manufactured in India.
Renault has officially debuted the 2026 Renault Duster on Indian soil, with pre-bookings now open. Customers who pre-book the SUV will receive priority delivery along with exclusive ‘Gang of Duster’ merchandise. The official Renault Duster India launch is expected soon, followed by customer deliveries.

Inside, the new Duster gets a modern and premium cabin. The dashboard features a seamless display layout, complemented by accent stitching and ambient lighting. Renault has packed the SUV with features such as an inbuilt Google Assistant, an electric tailgate, a 6-way powered driver seat and front ventilated seats. Advanced safety and convenience tech include an ADAS package and a 360-degree camera.
Renault Duster 2026 will be offered with three engine options, including a strong hybrid powertrain. The turbo TCe 160 engine produces 163 PS and 280 Nm of torque, while the 1.8-litre GDI strong hybrid engine is paired with a 1.4 kW battery for improved efficiency. There will also be a turbo TCe 100 engine option for buyers looking for a more balanced setup.
Renault claims the new Duster offers a massive 700 litres of boot space, which is around 80 litres more than its nearest competitor. This makes the New Duster one of the most practical SUVs in its segment.
To boost buyer confidence, Renault is offering an extended warranty under its ‘Renault Forever Program’. The SUV comes with a maximum warranty of up to 7 years or 1,50,000 km, making ownership more stress-free.
Once launched, the 2026 Renault Duster will take on strong rivals such as the Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Maruti Suzuki Victoris, Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun.
