A wide range of new SUVs will be launched in the country before the end of this year. In the month of December, Mahindra, Kia and Tata Motors will launch their respective new SUVs. While Mahindra will launch the XUV700 facelift, Tata Motors will introduce the electrified Sierra. The big update is that the second generation Kia Seltos will be launched in the country in December 2025.

Mahindra won’t launch any all-new product this year, but the XUV700 facelift is most likely to arrive in December 2025. The SUV will receive cosmetic design and interior changes along with a longer list of features. In terms of styling, the new Mahindra XUV700 facelift will have a revised front fascia with new grille, and a new LED headlamp setup with a rewired C-shaped LED DRLs.
Inside the cabin, the SUV will have a triple screen dashboard layout, a new Harman/Kardon speakers with Dolby Atmos audio tech for an immersive sound experience, auto-dimming IRVM and others. The SUV is also likely to get a six-seater variant with captain seats in the second. It will come with front parking sensors, ADAS LEVEL 2+ system and self parking feature. The Mahindra XUV700 facelift will continue to be offered with the 2.0L turbo petrol and 2.2L turbo diesel engine. Transmission duties will be handled by a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic.

While the ICE-powered Tata Sierra will launch in November, the electrified version of the lifestyle SUV will arrive in December 2025. The new Sierra EV will be based on Tata’s new Acti.ev+ platform that also underpins the Curvv EV and Punch EV. The new SUV is also expected to feature a 4-seater lounge variant.
Measuring around 4.3 meters, the new Sierra EV will rival the Hyundai Creta Electric, Mahindra BE 6 and others. It is likely to source its battery options, including the 65kWh and 75kWh, with the Harrier EV. The Sierra EV will be a front-wheel-drive electric SUV, but the higher-spec models could get a dual-motor AWD option. The new electric lifestyle SUV is expected to offer a range of up to 500km on a single charge.

The second-gen Kia Seltos will make its global debut in India in December 2025. In fact, the SUV’s prices and dealer dispatches are also likely in December while sales are expected to begin in January 2026. The spy images suggest that the new Seltos will come with radical changes in terms of styling and size.
The new Kia Seltos will come with a boxy design, which is inspired by the Telluride full-size SUV in global markets. The cabin layout is likely to be inspired by the bigger Kia models, including Carnival and EV9. It is likely to get a larger connected screen that houses a 12.3-inch instrument panel, a 12.3-inch infotainment unit and a 5-inch climate control display.
The new-gen Seltos will continue to be offered with the existing engine choices, including a 1.5L NA petrol, a 1.5L turbo petrol and a 1.5L turbo diesel. Both manual and automatic gearbox choices will be on offer. The hybrid version will join the line-up at a later stage, most probably in 2027.
