Mahindra is set to make a major tech upgrade with the New XUV 7XO, which will become the brand’s first petrol and diesel SUV to feature a segment-first triple-screen dashboard. This advanced setup, currently offered only on Mahindra’s electric SUVs, will now debut on the facelifted XUV700, officially named the Mahindra XUV 7XO.
With this move, Mahindra is clearly aiming to bring its electric-era technology into its internal combustion engine lineup.

The biggest talking point of the Mahindra XUV 7XO is its all-new triple-screen layout. While the outgoing XUV700 offers a dual-screen setup, the new model adds a third display dedicated to the front passenger.
The dashboard houses three 12.3-inch screens placed side by side. One screen serves as the digital instrument cluster, the second works as the main infotainment system, and the third allows the front passenger to access entertainment, apps, or navigation independently. This entire system runs on Mahindra’s AdrenoX platform and delivers a seamless digital experience.
This makes the XUV 7XO the first Mahindra ICE vehicle to feature a triple-screen dashboard, a design usually seen in luxury or born-electric SUVs.
Mahindra wants the 2026 SUV 7XO to feel modern, premium, and future-ready. The addition of a dedicated passenger screen helps improve in-cabin personalization without distracting the driver.
This integrated glass-panel design helps Mahindra position the XUV 7XO as a software-driven SUV that sits between its traditional fuel-powered models and its new electric range.
Beyond the screens, the Mahindra XUV 7XO top highlights include several comfort-focused upgrades. The SUV is expected to introduce segment-first massaging seats for the front row, making long drives more relaxing.
Mahindra is also likely to offer ventilated rear seats in the six-seater version, something that is still rare in this segment. The popular Boss Mode feature has been improved further, allowing rear passengers to adjust the co-driver seat for extra legroom. Inside, the cabin gets a new beige-and-tan colour scheme along with a fresh two-spoke steering wheel featuring an illuminated Twin Peaks logo.

Mahindra XUV 7XO features list takes a big leap forward in terms of technology. The SUV is expected to come with a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, possibly with Dolby Atmos support, for a richer audio experience.
Another major upgrade could be an augmented reality-based heads-up display that projects navigation details directly onto the windshield. Rear passengers may also get tablet holders with fast 65W USB Type-C charging ports, allowing them to use their own devices comfortably.
In terms of design, the New XUV 7XO will look familiar but sharper. It is expected to get updated LED headlamps with new L-shaped daytime running lights, revised LED tail lamps with a honeycomb pattern, and new 19-inch alloy wheels. These changes give the SUV a more modern and premium road presence.
Under the hood, the Mahindra XUV 7XO engine options will remain unchanged. The SUV will continue to offer the 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 200 PS and the 2.2-litre diesel engine delivering 185 PS. The diesel version will also retain the option of an all-wheel-drive system.
Mahindra XUV 7XO launch date is set for January 5, 2026. The brand has already opened Mahindra XUV 7XO pre bookings at the token amount of Rs 21,000.
The official Mahindra XUV 7XO price will be revealed at launch. However, due to the added technology and premium features, it is expected to be priced slightly higher than the current XUV700 (somewhere around Rs 15 lakh to Rs 26 lakh, ex-showroom).
