Mahindra XUV 7XO to launch on January 5, 2026, with major design updates. 2026 Scorpio N facelift to bring a larger infotainment system and new features. Both XUV 7XO and Scorpio N facelift expected to rival Tata Safari and MG Hector Plus.
Mahindra is gearing up for an exciting 2026 with the launch of two major SUVs; the rebranded XUV 7XO (XUV700 facelift) and the facelifted Scorpio N. Both models are expected to elevate Mahindra’s position in the competitive SUV market with updates in design, technology, and features. Here’s what you need to know about these upcoming Mahindra SUVs.

Mahindra has confirmed the launch of the XUV 7XO, a facelifted version of the popular XUV700, on January 5, 2026. Ahead of the launch, bookings for the 7-seater SUV will open on December 15, 2025, with a token amount of Rs 21,000. Customers can reserve their vehicles online or at authorized dealerships. The XUV 7XO is expected to be priced between Rs 14 lakh and Rs 25 lakh, competing directly with the Tata Safari.
The new XUV 7XO will come with several design updates, including a refreshed front grille, LED projector headlamps, and a sleek connected light bar. Inside, it will feature a tech-packed cabin with a triple-screen setup, consisting of a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.3-inch driver’s display, and a 12.3-inch co-passenger entertainment screen. Mechanically, the XUV 7XO will retain its 2.0L turbo petrol and 2.2L turbo diesel engines, paired with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
The 2026 Scorpio N facelift is also on the horizon, with an expected launch between January and March 2026. This will be the mid-cycle update for the Scorpio N, following the debut of the XUV 7XO. Spy shots of the facelifted Scorpio N suggest updates will be mostly cosmetic, with revised headlights, taillights, fog lamps, and new exterior trim elements, while maintaining its original stance and shape. The 18-inch alloy wheels are expected to remain unchanged.
Inside, the Scorpio N will feature a larger 10.25-inch infotainment system, replacing the current 8-inch unit. Other features likely to be retained include dual-zone climate control, a 12-speaker Sony sound system, and Level ADAS for enhanced safety. The SUV will continue to offer the same 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines, along with both manual and automatic gearboxes. Higher variants will continue to offer four-wheel drive.
