Mahindra XUV 7XO - 7 Biggest Upgrades Over the XUV700 You Should Know

The upcoming Mahindra XUV 7XO is more than just a facelift. With its launch set for January 5, 2026, Mahindra is pushing hard on technology, comfort and cabin experience. Bookings are already open, and the SUV is positioned as a premium step above the XUV700.

Here are the biggest upgrades that set it apart.

1. New 540-Degree Camera System

One of the headline Mahindra XUV 7XO features is the 540-degree camera. It offers a wider field of vision than a standard 360-degree setup, helping drivers navigate tight city spaces with more confidence.

This is paired with a smarter ADAS display that visually shows active safety functions in real time.

2. Triple-Screen Dashboard Goes Mainstream

Mahindra XUV 7XO interior gets a major tech boost with a triple-screen layout. This includes a digital driver display, infotainment touchscreen and a dedicated co-passenger screen. It’s the first time Mahindra has introduced this setup on an ICE-powered SUV.

3. Panoramic Sunroof for a More Premium Feel

Adding to the cabin’s upmarket appeal is a large panoramic sunroof. It enhances the sense of space and light, especially for rear-seat passengers, making the XUV 7XO feel more premium than before.

4. In-Car Theatre With BYOD Support

Rear passengers now get an in-car theatre mode with BYOD support. This allows users to connect their own devices and enjoy entertainment during long journeys. The system runs on Mahindra’s latest Adrenox+ software for smoother connectivity and control.

5. AX9L Variant Brings Comfort Upgrades

The top-end Mahindra XUV 7XO AX9L trim focuses heavily on comfort. It gets Boss Mode seating, refreshed upholstery, new door trims and a redesigned centre console. The cabin also features a triple-tone dashboard and a brown-and-tan steering wheel for a fresh look.

6. Updated Lighting and Design Elements

Visually, the SUV gets redesigned LED DRLs, projector headlamps and a new lighting signature inspired by Mahindra’s EV lineup. The rear now features connected LED tail-lamps, along with new alloy wheels and updated bumpers.

7. Same Engines, More Tech Focus

In terms of Mahindra XUV 7XO specifications, the powertrain options remain unchanged. The SUV continues with the 2.0-litre petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines, paired with manual and automatic gearboxes.

This lets Mahindra focus more on technology and new features.

Launch Date and Price Expectations

Mahindra XUV 7XO launch date is confirmed for January 5, 2026. While the official Mahindra XUV 7XO price will be announced at launch, it is expected to be slightly higher than the XUV700 due to the extensive upgrades.
