Exciting SUVs and MPVs with high-tech and advanced safety features New Renault, Toyota, Hyundai, and other upcoming models Options available for all budgets, with fuel-efficient engines
2025 will see many new petrol and diesel vehicles arriving on Indian roads. New designs, advanced features on the top rung, and better performances. These are promises made to the enthusiasts and car lovers of the Indian market. Now, in 2025, there is much to look forward to with so many cars and genres owned by each category, either fuel efficiency or powerful big SUVs.
Here are the top 10 new cars that hit Indian roads in 2025:
The third generation of the Duster is expected to arrive in India by 2025 from Renault. It is going to be an elongated SUV with similar rugged looks. The Duster will most likely sell with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol and a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol unit. The 1.5-litre is going to be available in both the CVT and manual variants, while the 1.3-litre will have an option of a CVT.
Coming to the interiors, the car promises a 10.1-inch touchscreen display screen, wireless Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay along with a 7-inch digital display. More features of the car include wireless charging, cruise control, and 18-inch alloy wheels. Safety features will be lane assist, automatic emergency braking, and ADAS. SUVs will be offered with AWD for the best off-road performance.
The Bigster will arrive in 2025. It will be a 7-seater SUV, but if it is based on the Duster's underpinnings. It will be over 4.57 meters in length. Petrol and hybrid variants of the Bigster will launch along with this, and not to forget, the 1.2-litre mild-hybrid turbo petrol variant. The hybrid variant will be able to complete 80% of its city runs on electric power.
It will have a 10.1-inch touchscreen, panoramic sunroof, and driver assistance systems with adaptive cruise control. Bigster Practicability in an SUV: The Bigster seems to be great at being practical in it, boasting features such as 667-litres of boot space, with driving modes, and a roof rack. The Bigster is an excellent choice for all those families who need spacious and well-endowed SUVs.
Kia Carens facelift will hit the roads in 2025. On that facelift, fully new designs and novelties await us. The front part will get a new grille with new LED headlights and a new set of bumpers. Gone are the dated design lines of the previous model, while the all-new model at the rear boasts updated tail lamps and an LED light bar to hold it together. Most of these updates are cosmetic ones, but this redesigned model will bring in a twin-screen setup, 360-degree camera system, and wireless charging, among other things.
The new Carens will carry all the engine options in the market currently, which are its 1.5-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel besides the 1.5-litre turbo petrol. It will be available in manual and DCT options, which are a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT. It will come well-equipped with six airbags, tyre pressure monitoring, and ADAS features like lane assist. This would be priced in the range of Rs 11-20 lakh and will thus be one of the most competitive models in the MPV segment.
Toyota will launch the Land Cruiser Prado in the Indian market by the end of 2025. The car will be available with 2.8-litre turbo diesel and will produce 201bhp and 500Nm of torque. It is going to be sold with a 2.4-litre petrol hybrid engine and will come with mild hybrid technology for efficient consumption of fuel.
Advanced features are going to be featured by the Prado to handle rough roads, one of which would be the front anti-roll bar, supplied as a separate part so that it may be easily removed, thus permitting better wheel articulation. It will boast better leather upholstery, larger screens, and more volume inside. The luxury off-road vehicle will fit the adventurous lot who seek comfort.
The Hyryder 7-seater model is based on the Grand Vitara platform. The wagon version is expected to launch in 2025. It would have a longer wheelbase in support of extra third-row seating. This new model will get milder strong-hybrid and stronger strong-hybrid engines. Some of the options would include a 1.5-litre strong hybrid as well as a hybrid in the name of maximum fuel efficiency.
The Hyryder 7-seater model, in full-fledged avatar, shall boast of bold front grills, angular LED headlights, and new tail lamps. Inside, the car will feature luxury options like a panoramic sunroof, ADAS, and modern infotainment. The Toyota Hyryder shall be an incredible family SUV offering space, power, and technology.
The car is coming to market in 2025 for families with a greater number of people. The new model is going to have room for a third row of seats along with fresh designs, a new grille, and more modern alloy designs. The interior will be almost identical to the 5-seater variant, with a panoramic sunroof, a 9-inch screen, and wireless charging.
The Grand Vitara 7-seater will get a 1.5-litre petrol engine and also a 1.5-litre strong hybrid unit. The hybrid system might be fettled to take the additional weight of the third row. It would be priced between Rs. 20 lakh to Rs. 25 lakh and would look like a premium offering in the segment.
The Maruti Fronx facelift will be spotted on roads during 2025 with quite a few updates. This facelifted model will receive a new 1.2-litre 3-cylinder hybrid unit promising better fuel efficiency. The Fronx would also come with a Level 1 ADAS kit which would provide an array of features like lane keep assist, forward collision warning, and lane departure warning.
The Maruti claims that Fronx gives out a fuel economy of more than 35 km/litre. That is an extremely affordable SUV that will come armed with the best of technologies and safety features for a pretty nominal amount. That does balance out as an appealing environmental proposition for all those buyers who are eager to save on the costs of fuel.
Kia will be introducing a new compact SUV, the Syros, in January at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. These come with the front shoulder line featuring boomerang-shaped LED DRLs, bigger air intakes, and squarish wheel arches inside. Features on the cockpit are oriented towards the driver, with multifunction 2-spoke steering wheels and other premium features such as a 360-degree camera and panoramic sunroof.
It will include similar 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol, 1.0-litre turbo petrol, and a 1.5-litre diesel. The Transmissions will arrive in various flavors. Including the compact SUV with a 5-speed manual and 7-speed DCT. While the Syros is to land as a stylish, well-equipped compact SUV.
The Venue Hyundai will touch the markets at the end of 2025, as the next generation model arrives there in autumn. New Venue deals with new design - here we find updated headlights and new grilles, while the rear has been redesigned. The insides will also be larger, boasting an all-new dashboard and some new interior themes.
This model will share similar powertrain options as have been seen in the outgoing model but will be powered with 1.2-litre NA petrol, 1.0-litre turbo petrol, and 1.5-litre diesel engine. It will be offered with ADAS Level 2, featuring adaptive cruise control, lane assist, and autonomous emergency braking. The Venue is coming from Hyundai's all-new Talegaon plant and is quite likely to be the favourite among subcompact SUVs.
A new mid-size SUV from Nissan is under preparation for roads sometime in around 2025, on the same platform as the Renault Duster. A 1.3-litre turbo petrol and a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine would be on offer. A new AWD system for better grip and control would accompany the SUV as well. This new Nissan SUV will fight it out with Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.
It could be coming inside, with the most modern infotainment system, beyond all other ADAS-safety features. Expected to come in Rs. 11 lakh to Rs. 23 lakh price and will rank one step ahead of its competitors regarding mid-sized SUVs.
