A total of 3 all-new electric SUVs will be launched in the country by the end of this year. While Mahindra will launch the XEV 9S 7-seater EV on November 26, 2025, MSIL will introduce the e Vitara on December 2, 2025. The third SUV is the Sierra EV, which is most likely to launch at the end of December 2025 or in January 2026.

Mahindra XEV 9S is the brand’s new 7-seater electric SUV based on the skateboard platform, called the INGLO. It will be Mahindra’s flagship electric SUV, and will sit above the XEV 9e in the brand’s EV line-up. The new model is expected to be priced somewhere between Rs 23 lakh and Rs 34 lakh, which is around 2-3 lakh higher than the XEV 9e coupe SUV.
It is likely to be offered with two battery pack options, 59kWh and 79kWh. The electric SUV is expected to be fitted with a dual-motor AWD (All-Wheel-Drive) setup. We expect the new Mahindra XEV 9S to offer a realistic range of up to 450km on a single charge.

Maruti Suzuki will introduce its first electric SUV, the e Vitara on December 2, 2025. Expected to be priced between Rs 18 lakh and Rs 24 lakh, the Maruti e Vitara will rival the Hyundai Creta Electric, Mahindra BE 6 and others in the segment.
The e Vitara base variants will be equipped with a 49kWh battery, while the higher-spec variants will be fitted with a 61kWh battery pack. Both will be offered with a front-axle-mounted electric motor; however, the global-spec model also gets a dual-motor AWD version. It is expected to offer a range of around 400-450km in a single charge.
Tata Motors will launch the Sierra ICE on November 25, 2025. Its EV version will arrive in the end of December or early January 2026. The electric version will be based on the Tata’s Acti.ev architecture, which also underpins the Curvv.ev. The new electric SUV will challenge the Hyundai Creta Electric, Mahindra BE 6 and others in the segment.
The Sierra EV is expected to be offered with two battery choices, including a 55kWh from Curvv EV and a 65kWh from Harrier EV. The higher-spec variant could get a dual-motor AWD setup. It is expected to be priced around Rs 19 lakh to Rs 25 lakh.
