Japanese automaker Honda cars has just announced that it will be increasing the prices of its models from January 2024. It became the fourth brand to implement a price hike, following Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra and Audi. We take a closer look.
Honda Cars India Vice President (Marketing and Sales), Kunal Behl, stated that the brand will "increase prices of its cars from January 2024". He said the model-wise amount of increase will be finalized by the end of this month.
The price hike comes as a result of an increase in commodity prices due to geopolitical and economic factors. While automakers attempt to compensate for the additional costs, it becomes unsustainable after a point, after which it is passed on to the customer.
Behl also mentioned that the current introductory prices of the Elevate SUV will be valid till the end of December 2023.
December may be the best time to buy a new Honda car as the brand is offering multiple benefits like cash discounts, exchange bonuses, and loyalty bonuses on its lineup till the end of the month.
The Honda Amaze is being offered with offers of up to Rs 67,000. This includes a cash discount of Rs 25,000, an exchange bonus of Rs 15,000, and a corporate discount and loyalty bonus of Rs 27,000.
Meanwhile, the Honda City is available with deals of up to Rs 1 lakh. Benefits include a Rs 25,000 cash discount, exchange bonus of Rs 15,000, corporate discount and loyalty bonus of Rs 27,000, and a 5-year warranty package worth Rs 23,000.
