Honda's Elevate SUV has gone on to create waves across various countries. In Japan, it is sold as the WR-V. Now, before the 2025 Tokyo Auto Salon, the WR-V is all set to make a special appearance. A Japanese tuner has modified the WR-V, giving it a retro look. This modified version of the WR-V will be seen at the annual Tokyo Auto Salon, besides other customized vehicles by the same tuner.
The most eye-catching attribute of the revised WR-V would be the new retro styling. The front fascia has been done away with altogether. The new grille is almost nostalgic of the Jeep Cherokee. The new version of the SUV sports square halogen headlights set within a metallic grille frame. It gets halogen fog lamps too, redesigned bumper, as well as off-road tyres.
The theme inside the cabin continues to be a retro theme. The seats are made with fabric, having a checkered pattern and bright blue finish. The car is reminiscent of the 70s. It gives a feel of nostalgia due to the use of the elements of that age along with modern comfort that makes this WR-V unique.
The design has been totally overhauled, but the mechanical parts of the SUV are the same. The WR-V is still equipped with the same 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. This engine is coupled with a CVT gearbox for smooth performance and efficiency. The changes are cosmetic only, so drivers will get the same driving experience as the standard WR-V.
The retro-modified Honda WR-V will be presented at the 2025 Tokyo Auto Salon, which is known to be an event that features innovative designs and modifications of cars. For car enthusiasts, there are going to be a lot of unique vehicles, but the retro-inspired WR-V is guaranteed to take the spotlight away with its nostalgic charm.
Honda's WR-V has already gained popularity in the Japanese market. The car is expected to gain even more attention and popularity with this new retro modification version at the Tokyo Auto Salon.
