JSW Motors to launch its first PHEV by 2027 Jetour T2 PHEV to offer a combined range of over 1200km
JSW Motors is doing final rounds of preparation before entering into passenger vehicle business as a standalone company in India. It is expected that the official brand debut will take place around Diwali 2026 followed by its first commercial launch in January 2027. A plug-in hybrid SUV is expected to be the brand’s first model in India.
If reports are to be believed, JSW Motors will introduce the Jetour T2 PHEV in our market by January 2027. The plug-in hybrid SUV highlights an extraordinary claimed combined driving range of over 1200km on a full fuel tank and battery charge.
JSW Motors Market Entry & Launch Roadmap
Diwali Brand Debut: JSW Motors will make its first official brand debut during the Diwali 2026 festive window, around October-November. The company will also initiate customer engagement drive and open preliminary interest channels.
Jetour T2 PHEV First to Arrive: To be positioned as the company’s inaugural product, the localised Jetour T2 PHEV will officially launch in January 2027. A possible debut at Auto Expo 2027 can’t be ignored with customer deliveries commencing immediately after.
1,200km Total Range: It is packed with a 1.5-litre i-DM Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) powertrain, combining a 1.5L turbo petrol engine with an electric motor and a 26.7 kWh battery pack. The powertrain offers a combined power and torque output of 381hp and 610Nm, respectively. The SUV is claimed to offer a pure EV range of up to 139 km, making daily city commutes zero-emission. Auto Expo 2027 Showcase: JSW Motors will use the Auto Expo stage to display ts broader product portfolio, giving perspective customers a look at upcoming lifestyle EVs, plug-in hybrids and urban crossovers.
4 New Models by End of 2027: JSW Motors is reportedly planning to roll out four distinct SUV models by the end of 2027.
