MINI Cooper Oxford Edition launch soon Gets a 2.0L turbo petrol engine
MINI India has started accepting pre-launch bookings for the MINI Cooper Oxford Edition. This edition will be available in the country in limited numbers. The Classic Mini was first built in Oxford, UK in 1959m, and since 2001, BMW Group has been producing the modern MINI on the same site.
With the MINI Cooper Oxford Edition, the brand celebrates its British roots by incorporating the iconic Union Jack into a range of design details on the latest edition of the MINI Cooper 3-door. Customers can contact their nearest authorised MINI dealership to book the MINI Cooper Oxford Edition.
The Cooper S is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that produces 204hp and 300Nm of peak torque. This model accelerates to 100kmph from zero in just 6.6 seconds. The Oxford Edition gets the same engine and offers the similar performance.
The limited edition model comes with white contrast roof with a contemporary interpretation of the Union Jack. There is a red-and-white stripe running across the length of the car, which is complemented by white mirror caps and 18-inch dual-tone Slide Spoke alloy wheels. The alloys also feature edition-specific hub and valve-cap details in British-flag colours.
Inside the cabin, there is a textured Union Jack motif positioned at the base of the steering wheel. Moreover, the circular Union Jack is placed on the driver’s floor mat. The passenger-side mat gets a chequered flag that refers to MINI’s rally heritage. The Limited Edition is available in Indigo Sunset Blue.
