Mini Countryman C Launch Today - Local Production, Turbo Engine

Mini Countryman C launches in India today. First locally produced Countryman for India. Gets a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine and premium features.

Mini is launching the Countryman C in India today. The new SUV marks an important milestone for the brand as it becomes the first locally produced Countryman for the Indian market.

The Countryman C joins the existing Countryman JCW All4 and the all-electric Countryman, giving buyers another premium SUV option with a petrol engine.

First Locally Produced Countryman

The biggest highlight of the new Countryman C is that it will be assembled in India.

Local production is expected to make the SUV more competitively priced than a fully imported model. Bookings for the Countryman C are already open through Mini India's official website.

Customers will be able to choose from five exterior colours: Smokey Green, British Racing Green, Nanuq White, Slate Blue, and Chilli Red.

1.5-Litre Turbo-Petrol Engine

Powering the new Countryman C is a 1.5-litre, three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine.

The engine produces 134 hp and 230 Nm of torque and is paired with a 7-speed Steptronic automatic transmission. This powertrain is also used in the BMW X1.

Premium Features on Offer

The Countryman C is expected to come with a long list of premium features.

Some of the highlights include LED lighting, a blacked-out roof and pillars, champagne gold exterior accents, a large circular touchscreen infotainment system, head-up display (HUD), paddle shifters, dual-zone climate control, sunroof, and a dual-tone interior.

Price Announcement Expected Today

Mini will announce the price of the Countryman C today along with full variant details.
