Mahindra has showcased the recently launched BE 6 electric SUV at Bharat Mobility Show 2025. The BE 6 is developed on Mahindra's new INGLO platform, designed to support different body styles and battery packs.
Originally, it was unveiled as the BE 6e. However, because of a trademark dispute with IndiGo over the use of "6e," it has been renamed to BE 6. The Mahindra's electric SUV BE 6 was first launched at an introductory price of Rs. 18.90 lakh (ex-showroom India). The base variant, Pack One, is the only one for which the price was disclosed at the time of launch. Later top variant price was also disclosed by the brand and it was priced at Rs. 26.90 lakh. However, Mahindra is expected to release the full price list for the BE 6 later. Take a look on the key features, battery and range of the Mahindra BE 6:
The BE 6 presents a clean design that is perfectly contemporary. Along the front face, it provides the new logo of Mahindra with lit illumination, sealed grille, as well as two C-shaped white LED daytime lights. The twin-tone front also comes with arches painted entirely in black, while the wraparound LED backlights, spoiler, and sleek sporty bumpers at the rear have integrated diffuser units.
Inside, the BE 6 boasts a free-from-clutter dashboard with two 12.3-inch screens: one for infotainment and one for the digital driver display. The screens run on Mahindra's new MAIA software, which comes preloaded with over 30 apps. The SUV also boasts a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, and an augmented reality head-up display. Other comfort features include dual-zone climate control, a Harman Kardon sound system, wireless charging, and 5G connectivity.
The Mahindra BE 6e electric SUV is available with two battery options: 59kWh and 79kWh. It has BYD's blade cell technology and a compact powertrain with a motor, inverter, and transmission. The 59kWh battery delivers 228hp, the 79kWh delivers 281hp and 380Nm of torque. Acceleration from 0-100km/h takes 6.7 seconds. There are three driving modes: Range, Everyday, and Race. The 79kWh model has a range of 682km, and the 59kWh model has a range of 535km. The BE 6 supports fast charging, and it can be charged from 20% to 80% in 20 minutes using a 175kW DC charger. It also comes with an 11.2kW AC charger that takes 6-8 hours to fully charge the battery, and a 7.3kW AC charger that takes longer, approximately 8-12 hours.
