Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition update will launch on August 15. The teaser shows new C-shaped DRLs and tail lamps. The 59kWh and 79kWh battery options are expected to continue.
Mahindra has released a teaser for the updated BE 6 Formula E Edition, confirming that the special edition will be launched in India on August 15, 2026. Introduced in November last year, this will be the first update for the Formula E Edition.
The teaser hints at revised lighting elements, while the overall design and powertrain are expected to remain largely unchanged.
The biggest visible change is the adoption of larger C-shaped DRLs and tail lamps, similar to those seen on the standard BE 6. The teaser shows the updated Formula E Edition finished in Tango Red.
Mahindra is also expected to continue offering multiple colour options with the special edition. Other Formula E-specific elements are likely to remain, including special body decals, black alloy wheels and a Formula E badge on the front fender.

The cabin is expected to continue with a Formula E-inspired interior theme that differentiates it from the standard BE 6. Mahindra has not revealed the complete interior yet, but more details are expected to be announced at the August 15 launch. The updated special edition is likely to remain based on the top-spec Pack Three trim and will be available in limited numbers.
Mahindra is also expected to unveil another special edition of the electric SUV on the same day. Called the BE 6 Sporteq, it is expected to feature a different interior theme and a triple-screen layout. Both special editions will add unique design and cabin elements while retaining the core mechanical package of the BE 6.
No major mechanical changes are expected for the updated Formula E Edition. It is likely to continue with the existing 59kWh and 79kWh battery pack options. The special edition is also expected to retain the BE 6's existing electric powertrain hardware.
Mahindra will reveal the final specifications, features and pricing of the updated Formula E Edition at its August 15 launch.
