Mahindra offers buyback after Batman Edition backlash. Second batch launch upset early buyers over exclusivity. Offer valid for original 999 customers for 30 days.
Mahindra has announced a buyback option for select buyers of the Mahindra BE 6 Batman Edition after facing backlash from early customers. The issue started after the company introduced a second batch of the same limited-edition SUV.
The BE 6 Batman Edition was first launched in limited numbers, with 999 units selling out in just 135 seconds. The strong response showed how popular this special edition was.
However, Mahindra later launched another batch of 999 units, which also sold out quickly in about 7 minutes. This move did not go well with some of the first buyers.
Many early customers had expected their cars to remain exclusive. After the second batch launch, several buyers shared their disappointment online, saying the exclusivity of the edition had been reduced.

To address these concerns, Mahindra has now offered a full buyback option to customers from the first batch.
This offer is available only to the original 999 buyers. The company has said that the offer will remain valid for 30 days, and customers can contact their dealerships to know more about the terms and process.
With this step, Mahindra is trying to respond to customer feedback and maintain trust among early buyers.
The Mahindra BE 6 Batman Edition is a unique collaboration inspired by the Batman character. It stands out with a Satin Black finish, gold accents, Batman logos and larger alloy wheels, giving it a strong road presence.
Inside, the SUV gets an all-black cabin with gold highlights, Batman branding and a numbered plaque, highlighting its limited-edition identity.
The electric SUV is powered by a 79 kWh battery pack paired with a rear-wheel-drive motor. It offers a claimed range of up to 682 km, making it practical for both city and highway use.
It also comes with features like dual 12.3-inch screens, a premium audio system and ADAS, offering a mix of technology and comfort.
