New Renault Duster offers one of the lowest starting prices in its segment. Cheaper than Creta, Seltos and even Tata Sierra at both ends. Turbo engine at base price makes it a strong value pick.
The 2026 Renault Duster has launched in India with a starting price of Rs 10.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Renault Duster 2026 enters the midsize SUV segment as a strong value-for-money option, offering competitive pricing at both entry and top levels.
Let’s take a closer look at how the new-gen Duster compares with its key rivals on price.
The Renault Duster 2026 price starts at Rs 10.49 lakh and goes up to Rs 18.49 lakh (ex-showroom). This makes it one of the most affordable SUVs in its segment, especially when compared to similarly equipped rivals.

Here’s how the New Renault Duster stacks up against other midsize SUVs in India:
The Duster starts lower than most rivals. The Maruti Grand Vitara starts at Rs 10.77 lakh, while the Hyundai Creta begins at Rs 10.79 lakh. The Kia Seltos and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder both start at Rs 10.99 lakh, and the Tata Sierra starts even higher at Rs 11.49 lakh.
At the top end, the Duster again undercuts its rivals. Its top variant costs Rs 18.49 lakh, while most competitors cross Rs 19 lakh, with some even going beyond Rs 20 lakh.
The base variant of the new Renault Duster 2026 is clearly more affordable than rivals. It is around Rs 30,000 cheaper than the Creta, Rs 50,000 cheaper than the Seltos, and nearly Rs 1 lakh cheaper than the Tata Sierra.
Another key point is that the Duster offers a turbo-petrol engine even in the base variant, while many rivals provide naturally aspirated engines at the starting price. This gives the Duster an edge in both value and performance.
At Rs 18.49 lakh, the top-spec Duster is still more affordable than the fully loaded versions of its rivals. It is over Rs 1.5 lakh cheaper than the top-end Creta and around Rs 2.5 lakh more affordable than the Tata Sierra.
This means buyers can get more features and performance at a lower price compared to most competitors.
Renault is offering an R Pass benefit for early buyers. This can reduce the effective price by Rs 20,000 to Rs 40,000, making the New Renault Duster 2026 even more attractive.

While the pricing is strong, the new-gen Duster currently does not offer diesel or CNG options, which are available in some rivals like the Creta and Grand Vitara.
However, Renault is expected to introduce a strong-hybrid version of the Duster by Diwali 2026, which could further improve its appeal.
